First of all, the aforementioned heat wave from last week's entry still persists in this entry, and on Thursday (the Fourth of July), it was miserable both inside and outside. The original idea was to take bups out into the neighborhood and watch the local fireworks above us.
Instead, we improvised due to logistics issues, and we kept it an indoor celebration. I had gotten some confetti poppers, but after some research, I felt they might be too dangerous for our celebration, so the bups' grandma and I took some Christmas wrapping paper, cut it up into tiny pieces, and made our own confetti.
Not quite the same, but still festive and fun. Much of the day on July 4th was spent with the air conditioner running. The bups spent much of the day plopped down in front of the air conditioner. This triple-digit heat is downright unbearable, and I may have to rethink the idea of public adventures. I will mull it over and see how the next week goes weather-wise.
